| I am a UK-based business journalist with considerable newsroom and business desk experience in local, regional and daily newspapers. In late 2003, I left the award winning business desk of the Yorkshire Post to specialise in freelance business writing and authorship. My first book, Beyond Governance: Creating Corporate Value through Performance, Conformance and Responsibility, which is co-authored with a leading academic and CEO of a global software company, was published by John Wiley in January 2005.
In addition, I write extensively on Corporate Responsibility, corporate governance, business strategy, IT and general business for magazines and newspapers including Manchester Evening News, Yorkshire Post and the Yorkshire Business Insider. I have also written more specialist white papers, case studies and reports for organisations such as Business in the Community, Deloitte and the CODA Group, and business speeches for a number of senior CEO’s.
Asides from my written work, I am often invited to speak on Corporate Responsibility, and in 2004 was invited to judge the social reporting category of PWC’s Yorkshire Annual Report of the Year. Earlier in the year I sat on the judging panel of the Deloitte Fast 50 Technology Award.
I am able to take commissions for business writing including personal and corporate profiles, case studies, white papers, news articles, press releases, business features, speeches and books.
